After several years of searching, the tablets found their place in a man's house or a place among the gadgets, and I see them somewhere between my phone and my laptop. I mean for the moments when you want to relax, but you need a bigger screen, but you don't want to use a laptop, no matter how portable it may be. Of course, not all tablet models fall into this classification, but I think the Tab A7 Lite fits.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite
Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is a small tablet with an 8.7-inch screen, weighing 371 grams and 8 mm thick. You might think it's a bigger phone. It can be grasped with one hand. It is a cheap or "budget" tablet as they say, but Tab A7 Lite does not look cheap, but quality materials were used in its construction. So we have glass on the front, back and aluminum frame and it has quality finishes. We have only one camera on the back, and the screen hides a second camera for video calling. So we are dealing with a very portable tablet that can be easily carried in a backpack or bag. It is available in gray or silver.
As I said, the display is an 8.7-inch TFT that comes with an HD + resolution (800 x 1340 pixels) and a pixel density of 179 ppi. We don't have a great resolution, but we're talking about a cheap tablet. So it would have been unfair to expect an AMOLED FHD +.
Performance
The A7 Lite has a 12 nm Mediatek Helio P22T processor, which comes with 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 32 or 64 GB of storage. The memory can be expanded with a microSD card, for even more storage space - up to 1 TB. I had the gray model with 3 GB RAM and 32 storage. So we're not talking about amazing performance. On the contrary, if you buy such a tablet, you should expect to stumble, hang on occasionally, even when browsing, multitasking or playing games. I've made the latest updates and reset the tablet a few times, but the performance hasn't improved and I could still see it hanging when I pulled the notification bar from the top or swiped. It's not horrible, but coming from top phones like the Note 20 Ultra, the difference is noticeable. At the same time, the price difference is a few thousand lei.
REVIEW Sony Xperia PRO-I: the best camera, butIf you want to play more demanding games like Asphalt 9 or Call of Duty Mobile you can do it, but with reduced graphics settings. On the other hand, other less pretentious titles like Brawl Stars work well. What I mean is that it's an ok tablet for YouTube videos, light browsing, or Netflix movies, but if you want more than that, maybe for online school, then I'd recommend going for a better model because otherwise you may become frustrated with the experience.
The 5100 mAh battery is large enough to ensure good battery life, and the usage time will depend on how you use the tablet. During the testing period, I loaded the tablet, on average once every 2 days, about the same. Charging speed is not great at 15 watts, but the worst part is that it has a 7.8 watt charger in the package, so if you want to use it to its full potential you need to buy a more powerful charger or use the one. from the phone.
Stereo sound is great for a tablet in this price range, and the Tab A7 Lite also supports Dolby Atmos. The volume is very good, but when you increase it to the maximum you will notice a slight distortion of the sound.
On the software side, I have to tell you that the tablet runs Android 11 with OneUI 3.1. So if you use a Samsung phone you will know what to expect. By the way. I like that they have integrated the tablet with the phone and if you log in to your Samsung account and associate Tab A7 Lite with the phone you can take calls and send text messages from the tablet.
What salaries are earned in Romania in the field of Sport & WellnessThere is also an 8 MP autofocus rear camera that can be useful when you want to capture a memory, but do not expect an extraordinary quality. The selfie camera is 2 MP and you can use it to make video calls or zoom calls, but to stay in a well-lit place.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is a tablet that I recommend to those who want a small, portable tablet that is not demanding in terms of performance and wants it for YouTube or Netflix. I see it used successfully by a child or a grandfather.
Samsung Smart Keyboard Trio 500
Before concluding this article, I want to tell you more about the keyboard that I mentioned at the beginning. It is one that I really liked and that I used with my tablet, phone, but also on my PC.
Samsung Smart Keyboard Trio 500 is a compact and portable wireless keyboard. It is 28 cm long, 12.7 cm wide and 15.4 mm thick, and weighs 412 grams. It has most of the keys you need for editing, browsing and other things. It connects to devices via bluetooth and you can switch between three devices. All you have to do is turn on Bluetooth and press F7, F8 or F9. Then F1, F2 and F3 can also work as shortcuts for certain applications. The Hot Key feature is available on Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets running One UI 3.1 with the latest update made in March 2021 or later. The keys are large and square and have a keystroke large enough that you don't feel like you're tapping your finger on a hard surface. The typing experience is good, and I enjoyed using this keyboard.
Another special button here is the DEX button, and if you connected this keyboard to a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra phone, for example, and a compatible monitor or TV then you could wirelessly project your phone to a TV and use the keyboard to type texts on the phone or to navigate through its menu. Basically, you would turn your phone into a real PC if you added a mouse to the mix. Note that Samsung Dex only works on certain tablets, not on the A7 Lite.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite tablet is normally available in stores for 850 lei, but now it's an eMAG promotion and you can find it for 750 lei, and the Samsung Smart Keyboard Trio 500 keyboard is available for around 250 lei. is on sale with 164 lei.
