Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple, who was with Steve Jobs in the garage at the beginning of the company, is one of the nicest figures in tech, but also a person who does not shy away from saying what he thinks. This even if he sometimes brings criticism to the company he founded. He recently stated that he doesn't see much difference between the new iPhones and the old ones.
In an interview given to Yahoo Finance, Woz said that he bought his new iPhone and that he doesn't notice any differences from the previous models. He also mentioned that the software on it also applies to the iPhones of the past, hence the confusion. Here is another interesting quote:
It is true that the iPhone 13 generation does not bring a huge leap compared to the iPhone 12, apart from the 120 Hz screen and the battery with increased capacity, plus 3-4 new photo/video functions, which could also be brought to previous models with an update. We also have an obvious new processor, the Apple A15, which is slightly better than the Apple A14. The new Apple Watch has a larger screen, more durable body, but comes with the same CPU and about the same functions as its predecessor.
Woz was also asked what he would like to see improved on these products, but he didn't find anything specific on his wish list. However, he praised the progress made by Apple in the area of spam blocking and Privacy practices. In the same interview, he talked about Facebook Inc's name change to Meta and praised Apple for keeping its name over the decades.
The focus of this interview was Wozniak's reality show, Unicorn Hunters, in which he and other judges search for the next $1 billion company. Seen on Amazon Prime. The topic of Apple Glass was also discussed, the glasses that have been leaking lately, but for that I leave you with the clip of the interview.
