Do you already own a wireless router but the Wi-Fi signal does not reach all areas of your home? When you're sitting on the couch with your laptop in your arms, is your Wi-Fi signal as good as you want it to be? But when you're in the bathroom, your phone refuses to connect? Do you want to spend more time outdoors and have decided to work from the terrace? If you need Wi-Fi coverage in every corner of your home, the Mesh Nova MW5 system can be the solution to your problems.
What is a Mesh system?
Mesh technology, introduced a long time ago, was originally developed for military applications, but is now commonly used in devices intended for multi-story or relatively large-area housing, office areas, shops, malls and hospitals. Mesh Wi-Fi or the wireless Mesh system is, in fact, a communication network made up of radio nodes organized in a "mesh" topology. The various devices used (smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.) interconnect with these radio nodes to send and receive data. Tenda brings this technology into your home, covering all dead zones, all floors, basements, garages and even yards with quality Wi-Fi signal without interruption.
When you connect to Mesh Tenda Nova MW5, your devices will automatically connect to the strongest signals. As you change your position, your devices could switch from one node to another extremely fast, imperceptibly to the user, to benefit from a stronger signal.
Configuring a Mesh Wi-Fi system
First, you need to connect one of the units to turn on the device, using the included Ethernet cable, similar to how you set up any other Wi-Fi router. The nodes have an LED indicator that lights up in various colors, the color indicating the status of the network connection: the unit is working, trying to connect, or having a problem. The rest of the setup process takes place using the Tenda Wi-Fi app, which is available on iOS and Android. When the application asks you for information, you can use the default SSID and password that are mentioned on the label under the unit. Once the new MW5 node establishes a connection, you can then make the necessary changes such as network name and password. After the first unit is successfully connected, the app will help you add the second and third units and also create special guest access.
Mesh Wi-Fi network extension
Tenda Nova MW5 mesh systems also allow you to expand your network according to your needs. You can easily add more access points and extend your Wi-Fi coverage even further.
Nova MW5 is a great Wi-Fi solution if you live in a house between 150 and 300 square meters with partitions that block radio signals. Thanks to MRC (Maximal Ratio Combining) technology, which improves Wi-Fi transmission, it increases the ability to penetrate walls and the radio signal is distributed evenly over a larger area.
Nova MW5
Tenda nova MW5 is a "whole-home" WiFi Mesh AC1200 system intended for large homes, which benefits from broadband Internet connections starting at 100 Mbps. A MW5 system with 3 nodes ensures coverage of an area of up to 300 m2.
The main node has Gigabit ports, allowing the maximum exploitation of the signal bandwidth from the provider and the seamless playback of 4K video files. The secondary nodes, mounted directly in the electrical outlet, are easily connected thanks to the pre-configurations, making the installation of the system extremely simple.
MW5 is built on Beamforming technology, being able to focus signal strength in certain directions, exactly to the devices connected to the network, instead of just emitting evenly around.
Features on short:
The Nova MW5 wireless kit with 3 nodes will be available in specialty stores starting from December, at prices starting from 949 lei.
