Roaming - calculates the Internet La Orange, Vodafone and Telekom

Time 14/06/2022 By myhoneybakedfeedback

Roaming has disappeared since June 15, at least to a great extent, in the entire European economic space, the EEA, the benefits of subscriptions are now available outside Romania. We talk here about minutes, SMS and mobile internet that we can use in roaming as in Romania, but with some limits that I will talk about in this article.

Although for minutes and SMS we can consume in roaming everything we have allocated in the country, for the mobile internet are different and each operator has made its own "law".In this article I will talk about the Orange, Vodafone and Telekom old subscriptions, which have no roaming benefits in them, in the case of Orange the article applying for the subscriptions concluded until April 2.

These old subscriptions do not have available roaming benefits, to a great extent, so Roam like at home is applied in full, but within some fair user limits.Specifically you will have to make a calculation to find out how much mobile Internet you can use in roaming based on your subscription price and not based on the mobile Internet you have national.

Roaming at Orange - Calculate the mobile internet

For their own customers, the people from Orange have on this page dedicated information about what they receive in roaming based on the benefits of subscriptions and you can calculate your mobile internet.According to Orange, the mobile internet you benefit in roaming is calculated as follows: the cost of subscription without VAT/ 7.7 (the roaming cost regulated in the European regulation) X 2, but without exceeding the national internet traffic included in the package.

Or, if you do not like complex calculations, you can use the service *100# to find out quickly how much Internet traffic you can use in roaming starting June 15.Access the self menu that by the phone application, where you will form *100# in dial pad, then select option 6, roaming international and voice messaging, then select the 2 Roaming menu, and in the last menu access the section 6 Data traffic in Roaming and you willSee on the screen as the Internet you can use.

Roaming – calculeaza internetul la Orange, Vodafone si Telekom

Depending on the cost of your subscription you will find out how much mobile internet you can use in roaming from June 15 without additional costs in the See space, in my case the traffic allocated being higher than the monthly. All this information is applied for all subscriptions, but especially the old ones that do not have dedicated roaming benefits, and Orange explains on this page the details for absolutely all subscribers.

Roaming in Vodafone - Find out how much Internet you have

In the case of Vodafone, things are similar, and the information on roaming internet traffic for subscribers is much easier to find out.Specifically, you just have to access this page where you will enter your phone number and find out how much mobile internet you benefit when you are in the EEA space.

However, the people from Vadafone say that the subscriptions who have only national access are not compatible with the roaming service, so you will have to call them to see what kind of benefits you have in roaming. This step is necessary only if there is no information on the Internet traffic available in roaming, because theoretically Vodafone should give you the Internet anyway.

Roaming for Telekom - Cat Internet Mobile is available

Telekom is the latest mobile operator who starting today offers mobile internet benefits for clients who are roaming in the See space. Those at Telekom do not have a dedicated page in which to explain the benefits that the customers have when they go roaming, as expected, but sent a press release in which they offer details.

For the mobile internet, the ones from Telekom had the following in connection with the roaming benefits:

"... The national benefits (outside the network) granted to any Telekom Romania subscription, for mobile services, will also be available in roaming group 0 - the countries of the European Economic Area.…

… The national data in the contract (subscription/extraopions/possible bonuses) may be used in roaming group 0 without additional rates, up to the maximum monthly data limit in roaming group 0, if applicable to the contract. After exceeding the data limit, an additional tariff is applied in the amount of 0.0089 euros/MB, VAT included, and after consuming the national data in the contract, the standard tariff will be applied. The data limit is determined according to the active benefits at the time of using the roaming services, dividing the double value of the monthly subscription at the regulated tariff, of 7, 7 euros/GB.If there are extraopions or data bonuses, their value is added to the value of the subscription, according to the following formula (everything without VAT): maximum monthly data limit in roaming (GB) = (subscription value + Extraopation value + Bonus value) x 2/7, 7 euros/gb **. ”

Basically, the way of calculating the Internet available in roaming for Telekom customers is the same as in Orange and Vodafone, as it is imposed by European legislation through Roam like at home.If you know the value of the monthly subscription, you gather it with any extra -optations and bonuses, multiply it by 2 and divide at 7.7, the latter representing the cost of 7, 7 euros/GB imposed by the EU.

Digi Mobil - Is there internet in roaming?

Digi Mobil customers do not enjoy benefits of minutes, SMS or Internet in roaming because the operator cannot support the costs related to this. Those from Digi Mobil have made a request to ANCOM to impose a surcharge to those who want to use some benefits in subscriptions and remains to be seen if this request will be accessed and how much the tax will be.

For the prepaid cards, the same method of calculation is used as for subscriptions, the roaming internet being the sum of all X2 options, divided at 7.7.

If you have other questions, I wait for them in the comments.
