Redmi 10 runs the Android 11 operating system from the factory and brings the MIUI Global 12.5.2 Stable interface, a UI already familiar to Xiaomi fans and which many appreciate due to the colors, icons and simplicity delivered. For security, we have a fingerprint scanner placed on the side that offers quick unlocking, a flat and wide button that also acts as a power/unlock button.
For navigation you can choose between the virtual buttons in the lower area of the screen or for navigation by gestures. From here you can also access a list of shortcuts for buttons, an example being the long press of the Home button, which will launch the Google Assistant. The multitasking area presents the open applications in a compact format and in the upper area there are shortcuts for Cleaner, Security Scan, Intensive Cleaning and Application Manager.
Also from here you can open a floating window on the screen, from a list made available by default but which can be edited with 10 options of favorite applications. A long press on the screen allows you to move icons on the home screen, choose the background image, set widgets and access a quick settings area where there are options such as transition effects, set default screen, home screen layout ( 4x6, 5x6), main screen layout lock. If you click on advanced, you get to the full settings where you can change the size of the icons.
The menu is accessed by swiping up from the main screen and here you have the applications together, with the possibility to press on different sections such as Tools, Entertainment or Communication, where you find applications from the relevant category. At the bottom you also have a search bar for apps and there are also menu settings to customize the background.
