A few weeks ago the POCO F3 GT smartphone debuted, actually a rebranded variant of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition model. We are also waiting for the smartphone locally, being a variant that could debut globally. Until then though, it looks like the POCO F3 GT has received a buggy update that causes the phone to overheat inexplicably. We have details below.
POCO has already taken note of this and has promised users a new update that will fix the issues that have surfaced recently. It seems that the phone heats up quite a lot during normal use, and during gaming the terminal gets really hot. The problems would have appeared following the MIUI 12.5.4.0.RKJINXM update. Although POCO said it would fix the problem, the company did not reveal when the new update would be available.
As a reminder, the POCO F3 GT is an affordable gaming smartphone. It has a 6.67 inch OLED screen, Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Last but not least, it offers a touch sampling rate of 480Hz, brightness of up to 500 nits, support for 10bit colors and has Gorilla Glass 5 protection. On the back we find an RGB illuminated area, and on the side two perfect trigger buttons when it comes to of shooter or racing titles.
On the back we have a triple camera with a 64 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide and a 2 MP Macro sensor. There is also a 16MP selfie camera on the front. Inside is the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor (which we could also see on the OnePlus Nord 2 5G), and the terminal arrives with up to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It also brings a 5065 mAh battery, fast charging at 67W, stereo speakers and runs Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 skin applied over it.
As I said, its price is excellent, it costs only 362 dollars in the basic version.
