A report by the National Cyber Security Center has tested 5G mobile phones from Chinese manufacturers.
The researchers identified that an Xiaomi phone had built -in censure tools, while a Huawei model could be vulnerable to cyber attacks.
Huawei said user data is not sent externally.
"Our recommendation is not to buy new phones from China and to give up those already purchased as soon as possible," said Defense Deputy Minister Margiris Abukevicius.
