One of the most annoying aspects of the Macro function on the iPhone 13 Pro is that it activates automatically and has a transition between cameras that confuses the user. It often makes you miss the right moment to make the capture, and the Macro capture results aren't too flattering either. Apple is finally ready to bring an ON / OFF button to the Camera app.
Theoretically, this button was supposed to come in iOS 15.1, but it didn't materialize. However, it will arrive in iOS 15.2, according to the @ DylanMcD8 tester, which got its hands on the latest beta of iOS 15.2. You have a video with the functionality below.
How does it work? When the camera detects an object positioned very close to it, a flower-shaped icon appears on the screen, indicating Macro mode. If it accidentally appears while moving a subject in front of the camera, you can tap the icon to turn off Macro mode.
iOS 15.2 should come next month with features like using the Find My app to scan for AirTags or other devices in the area. The idea is to find out if there are any gadgets that somehow monitor your position. You'll find an "Items That Can Track Me" area in the Find My app. IOS 15.2 also brings an automatic alert for parents if their minor children receive or send explicit pictures.
You must have Family Sharing enabled or the parent feature enabled.
