Huawei held an important event in China yesterday, during which it expanded its product portfolio with the Huawei Watch GT Runner, but also with the tablet-laptop hybrid MateBook E. At the same event, a pair of glasses also debuted VR, Huawei VR Glass 6DoF, but also an all-in-one PC, MateStation X. Perhaps the most original product was the helmet for cyclists, with HarmonyOS on board.
Huawei MateStation X
Huawei MateStation X is a desktop PC with a generous screen of 28.2 inches, with an IPS LCD panel and with a resolution of 3840 x 2560 pixels. Inside is an AMD Ryzen 5 5600H or Ryzen 7 5800H processor, along with Radeon graphics. We also get 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of M.2 NVMe storage, and as an OS we have Windows 11. In the package, Huawei offers a wireless keyboard with an integrated fingerprint reader, as well as a mouse with a Bluetooth connection.
The product costs 1570 dollars in the version with Ryzen 5 5600H processor and reaches 1880 if you want Ryzen 7 5800H CPU. Sales in China begin on December 12.
Huawei VR Glass 6DoF
The VR glasses are actually a VR gaming headset with two dedicated controllers in the package. It integrates two 2.1 inch LCD screens with a resolution of 1600 x 1600 pixels each. Binocular resolution is 3200 x 1600 pixels. The headset weighs 188 grams and offers a viewing angle of 90 degrees. The two lenses are adjustable for users with myopia up to minus 7. The headset can be connected to the phone via USB-C.
It costs $627 and will go on sale starting November 26, 2021.
Huawei Smart Helmet
The Huawei Helmetphone BH51M Neo Smart Helmet, a smart protective helmet for cyclists and scooter users, also debuted. It has Bluetooth calling, voice commands and HarmonyOS. It will arrive in black or gray and is advertised as ideal for roller skating, skateboarding, cycling. It can be connected to the mobile phone, has adjustable lights and integrates stereo speakers and hands-free calling.
The LED light turns on when you slow down and can detect turns and signal accordingly. It costs $125.
