Right at the end of June, we saw a first detailed rendering of the Huawei Nova 8i, a phone in the mid-range price and features whose launch is still awaited. Based on today's leak of an official product page we tend to believe that the debut won't be too long and now we know what to expect with a full list of specifications. We also have official renders below.
Design-wise, this Nova 8i takes cues from the Mate 40 and P40 Pro, with that circular camera module on the back and the pill camera cut into the screen. Speaking of the screen, here we have a panel with a diagonal of 6.67 inches and FHD+ resolution of 2376 x 1080 pixels, with narrow edges on 3 sides and a chin in the lower area.
The smartphone has a Snapdragon 662 processor inside and arrives in a single configuration, with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash storage. We get a 16 megapixel selfie camera, and a quad camera at the back which presents itself as follows: 64 megapixel wide + 8 megapixel ultra-wide + 2 megapixel macro + 2 megapixel bokeh. The Huawei Nova 8i has LTE, dual-band ac WiFi and brings a fingerprint scanner placed on the side.
Nova 8i specifications:
On the software side, the phone runs Android with EMUI 11 applied over and without Google services, having the HMS alternative with AppGallery. The battery is the star here, a 4300 mAh main unit that supports 66W power. We don't have details on the price yet, but we do know that the phone will launch in Malaysia first.
