Honor Magic 3 is the next major product prepared by Honor for launch. The company sold by Huawei at the end of 2020 will unveil this phone on August 12, alongside the Honor Tab V7 Pro tablet. Today we have two new leaks, namely a hands-on photo of the phone and details about a deluxe version.
The design flaunted this time brings less with the Huawei Mate 40 than in the last leaks. Unfortunately, the poor quality of the photo does not allow us to count how many sensors the circular camera module integrates. What we definitely see is the inscription "100X", which indicates the support for 100X digital zoom on the terminal. Honor has already confirmed that this phone will have a Snapdragon 888 Plus processor, and even insists that it would be the first with this CPU on board. A Vivo iQOO model and a Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 could steal the premiere from what we've seen online.
The terminal will have on board Magic UI 5.0 applied over Android 11. The phone also has an OLED screen with a high refresh rate and an IP certified body. Honor recently made headlines when a group of US senators proposed blacklisting the company along with Huawei. The charges would be similar, ties to the Chinese Communist Party and endangering the national security of the United States.
The other half of the Honor Magic 3 leak is the news that we'll be getting a Porsche edition of the phone, with a curvier design and more storage. Huawei has collaborated with Porsche Design for many years, releasing special versions of phones, some luxury, with premium materials, Porsche engravings and extra storage or other upgraded features. A Porsche Design watch also appeared at some point.
It is possible that in the future Huawei will no longer collaborate with Porsche Design, but will have left the contract to Honor after the transaction. The same source also spoke about the fact that we will not have Magic 3 Pro+ or Magic 3 Pro SE variants, but only the Honor Magic 3, Magic 3 Pro and Magic 3 Porsche Design. A camera with 3 sensors of 64 MP and one of 50 MP is circulating, which would be a bit overkill, but it would surpass many rivals on the market in the number of megapixels.
We will find out more on August 12.
