On September 14, Apple held the debut event for the iPhone 13, then announcing the iPad Mini 6 and a Watch Series 7, as well as an iPad 9. At the same event, they also announced the date on which iOS 15 will spread, namely September 20. Now we tell you what time the rollout starts today. IPadOS 15, watchOS 8 and tvOS 15 will arrive with the new iOS.
For us, in Romania, the update will be available starting with 20:00, although it is possible that there will be delays or even arrive prematurely (it has happened before). Those with an iPhone 6S and up will receive this update, as well as those with at least a first-generation iPhone SE. For iPadOS 15, you must have at least one iPad Air 2 from 2014 or iPad 5 from 2017.
iOS 15 brings notifications with a redesigned, cleaner and more airy design. Now we can see more clearly the application logos and contact photos. Less important notifications will be grouped together and delivered as a summary at a time chosen by the user. Another feature is Focus, with which you can create profiles and set which contacts or apps have associated notifications when you activate the Work, Home, or Personal profile. That way, you won't be bothered.
Safari comes with an address bar and tab moved down, tabs can be grouped and saved, and we can do voice searches in the address bar. We also have extensions to install. FaceTime can now be used to communicate with Android or Windows users and also has background blur, noise reduction, and group conversations with 6 people in a grid.
Photos and the Camera application can recognize text and even handwriting, but also landmarks, pets, or monuments. Siri is faster, and Apple Mail can block email tracking. iOS 15 will also start asking for permission to collect personal data for ads in Apple apps. All the details are here.
iPadOS 15 has better multitasking, split view and slide over, plus a variety of more versatile app drawers and widgets. We look forward to hearing from you in the comments.
