Two employees of the Migration and Asylum Bureau, detained while fading money from a four children
Two officials from the North Regional Service of the Migration and Asylum Bureau were flagrantly detained by the information and security service officers, common with the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases, the North Office.They are suspected of extorting money in order to facilitate the finding on the territory of the Republic of Moldova of foreign citizens.
The detained persons created a corrupt scheme in which in the detection of the violations of the residence regime in the country they proposed illicit solutions for their unsanction and the extension of the period in the Republic of Moldova.
The two are suspected of blurring 8000 lei, in several installments, from a citizen of Ukraine, mother of four children, inhabitant of the Ocnița district.The reason invoked by them was to avoid the extradition of Moldova of the woman to overcome the term of legal residence in Moldova.Therefore, in exchange for the amount required illegally, the figures promised the non -application of the contraventional fine and the extension of the period of finding in Moldova.
During the file, the SIS officers carried out special investigative measures to document the illegal activity for three months, with several episodes in which the detained persons were revealed from 8000 to 10,000 lei.
The investigations continue, in order to establish all the aspects of the case.If their guilt will be established in court, the figures risk imprisonment from 7 to 15 years with a fine from 8000 to 10,000 conventional units and depriving the right to hold certain public functions for 10 to15 years.
