One week after launching its games for all Android subscribers, Netflix is also releasing them on iPhone and iPad worldwide. Users can now download games from the App Store.
From now on, you will see a dedicated category in Netflix iOS and iPadOS applications, from which you can choose a game to download. Those with an iPad can also find the games through the drop-down menu of the category, according to Netflix.
You will be able to launch games from the Netflix application. Whether you open them from there or directly to your iPhone or iPad, you'll need to sign in to your account before you can play.
Netflix games have also arrived on iOS
The original range of games is the same as on Android. There are two Stranger Things titles - Stranger Things 1984 and Stranger Things 3, which Netflix has been testing as part of its Polish subscriptions since August. The other three are occasional games of general interest: Shooting Hoops, Teeter Up, and Card Blast.
What's more, details have surfaced about another title coming to the Netflix game library soon. Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story, which will arrive on Nintendo Switch and PC later this month. It is the first game announced for Netflix after the biggest launch of Android games.
The streaming platform is taking a big step forward with its gaming ambitions. Starting one week ago, all subscribers can play five mobile games on Android devices at no extra cost by downloading them from the Google Play Store on phones and tablets.
The games have no ads or in-app purchases. You can access them from your phone or tablet by accessing the games section of the app's home page or via the Games tab. Once you select a game, you can download it from the Google Play Store or the App Store and play it through the streaming app.
