Last hour: Today in the Republic of Moldova could be declared an emergency in connection with the energy crisis
The commission for exceptional situations will today ask the Government to declare the emergency state in the energy sector.The announcement was made this morning by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița.
"The instruments held at the moment are not sufficient to overcome the situation in the energy field, so it is necessary to establish an emergency so that we can derogate from certain procedures and laws.For example, we must allocate money for Energocom from the budget and be applicable immediately, without a month for the entry into force, ”said the prime minister, in a briefing.
Another proposal of the Commission for exceptional situations will be the establishment of a conducting center within the IGSU, to coordinate the flow of information and the rapid management of the situation.
After the commission meeting, the Government meeting will take place, where the request will be made to the Parliament, establishing the state of emergency.According to the Government, Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița will go to Parliament, to request the vote of the deputies in order to declare the state of emergency.
The Vice -President of the Parliament, Mihai Popșoi, who took part in the same briefing, said that the parliamentary majority will support the request to declare the state of emergency.
"During the state of emergency, the Parliament will continue to work even in the absence of plenary sessions.We will prepare a legislative package, as after the emergency state, after 30 days or less, we can enter the force, ”added Popșoi.
