Privacy and notification were at the heart of the first official presentation of the next version of iOS, the operating system behind iPhones.
On the first day of WWDC, the annual software event organized by Apple, this time virtually, the American company presented the news that its operating systems, led by iOS, will bring this year, according to News.ro.
In iOS 15, the user will be able to choose a status (called Apple Focus) depending on the activity and time of day - work, staff, DND sleep, etc. - and the presentation of notifications issued by applications will be changed according to this status.
Each status will be able to have its own main screen configured. The idea is to display the necessary applications on the main screen when the user is working, and when they switch to personal mode, to replace them with other applications.
Notifications will have a new design in iOS 15 and will be displayed differently. These will include profile pictures of users sending messages through chat applications and pictures of notifying applications for easier identification.

Apple Director: App Store, a risk to iPhone securityThe new version of iOS will also include a new section in the Settings app, dedicated to privacy. Here, the user will see reports on how the applications use the access rights granted to them.
More importantly, iOS 15 will include what Apple calls iCloud Private Relay - a feature that aims to hide user traffic from ISPs and advertising companies.
It will work in countries where freedom of expression is repressed, such as Belarus or Kazakhstan, but it will not work in China, where Apple cannot afford to jeopardize its business by provoking the authorities.
As usual, Apple will also bring updates to its iOS 15 apps. Messages, FaceTime and Maps are among the apps that will receive major updates. FaceTime will improve audio quality and provide links for guests. Apple will also launch a FaceTime web application, which can be accessed from other operating systems.
Starting with iOS 15, iPhones will be able to be tracked via the Find My feature after they are reset, including when they are turned off.
Siri will process local sound, responding faster to queries than before when relying on cloud processing.
For the first time, users will be able to choose not to update to iOS 15, but to continue to receive security updates.
The first beta of iOS 15 will be released in July, with the official release expected in September.
