German authorities have been able to track down two young Romanians who worked for a courier company and decided to open several packages to steal valuables.
Radu Ionuţ T. (25 years old) was detained in Bârlad, being brought before the judges of the Iaşi Court of Appeal on August 18. This is after, on August 12, the German Sirene Bureau informed the International Police Cooperation Center - Sirene Romania Bureau about the introduction in the Schengen Information System of a report on the name of the young man from Bârlad, requesting his arrest for extradition, based on a European mandate.
"The requested person worked as a parcel supplier for DHL Express Germany GmbH, together with the named C. and S. In this context, around October 6, 2018, the 3 decided not to deliver some of the parcels received for distribution, to he opens them up and looks for valuables to own. In this way, they opened packages destined to be delivered in Neufahrn and appropriated the following goods: an Apple iPhone 8 Plus phone, worth 789.90 euros, two Apple iPhone X phones worth 1,019.90 and 1,280 euros, an Asus video card worth 236.89 euros, and an Apple M Book notebook worth 4,969 euros. The goods came from 5 packages, but the above-mentioned people opened another 6 packages, but they did not find any valuables in them ", the German police established, according to vremeanoua.ro.
